Last updated October 8, 2026 · By Richard Barker, comedy stage hypnotist
Las Vegas hypnosis shows come in two flavors, and the ticket sites don’t make that obvious. Five shows are on sale in fall 2026, but only three actually hypnotize people from the audience: Marc Savard Comedy Hypnosis on the Strip, Hypnosis Unleashed with Kevin Lepine downtown, and Steve Falcon’s Comedy Hypnosis Hour at MGM Grand. My current personal favorite is Steve Falcon’s show, and I explain why below. Most run 70 to 90 minutes, and Vegas.com lists tickets from about $20 to $75.
Key takeaways
- Five shows sit under “hypnosis” on Vegas.com, but only three hypnotize volunteers. The other two are mind reading shows.
- My personal pick right now: Steve Falcon’s Comedy Hypnosis Hour at MGM Grand, for adults who want a fast, loud, genuinely unpredictable night.
- Shows run about 70 to 90 minutes, mostly in the evening, with one 4:00 p.m. option.
- Nobody gets dragged on stage. Every show uses volunteers only.
- Age rules vary a lot, from all-ages seating to adult-leaning late shows. Check before you book with teens.
- For a convention, sales kickoff or private party in Vegas, you hire a touring corporate hypnotist instead of buying a block of theater tickets.
Which Las Vegas hypnosis shows are playing in 2026?
Five shows are on sale as of September 21, 2026, according to Vegas.com’s hypnosis listings. The prices below are Vegas.com “from” prices on that date. They change daily, so treat them as a snapshot, not a promise.

| Marc Savard Comedy Hypnosis | Nathan Burton Theater, 3771 S Las Vegas Blvd (Strip) | Comedy hypnosis | 6:00 p.m. on Vegas.com, 7:00 p.m. on the official site | 75 min | $20 |

Marc Savard Comedy Hypnosis
Marc Savard is the long-running Strip option. His official site describes a 75-minute unscripted show, more than 15 years of headlining and six “Best of Las Vegas” wins. Seating is all ages, although stage volunteers must be 16 or older. Vegas.com reviewers rate it 4.5 from 317 reviews, and one points out that a small midweek crowd still filled the stage with volunteers.
Hypnosis Unleashed starring Kevin Lepine
Kevin Lepine plays the Four Queens on Fremont Street, Tuesday to Saturday at 9 p.m., according to the show’s Facebook page. VegasFoodAndFun says the humor gets adult at times, depending on the crowd. That makes it a better pick for bachelor and bachelorette groups than for families. Viator shows 428 reviews for it.
Also highly recommended. I’ve seen Kevin’s show many times, and I’d tell anyone to go check it out. It’s upbeat from the first minute, the energy in that room never dips, and Kevin is brilliant at keeping a late night crowd laughing. If you have two nights in Vegas, see Steve Falcon on one and Kevin Lepine on the other. You’ll get two very different hypnotists and two very different shows. Showtimes and tickets are on Kevin Lepine’s official Hypnosis Unleashed website.
My current favorite: Steve Falcon’s Comedy Hypnosis Hour
If a friend texted me tonight asking which Las Vegas hypnosis show to see, I’d send them straight to Steve Falcon’s Comedy Hypnosis Hour at MGM Grand. It’s my current personal favorite, and I don’t say that lightly. I’ve done more than 6,000 shows of my own, so I watch other hypnotists the way a chef eats in someone else’s restaurant. I notice everything.
Full disclosure: I know Steve personally, along with Kevin Lepine and Marc Savard. The hypnosis world is small, and we all cross paths. So picking a favorite isn’t easy, and it isn’t because I haven’t seen the others. Knowing Steve is also why I can tell you this isn’t a guy who got lucky with a Strip booking. He built his show the hard way, night after night in front of real vacation crowds.
Steve’s official site, stevefalconhypnosis.com, lists the show at 9:30 p.m. Thursday to Tuesday and 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, in the Underground Theater just beneath the MGM Grand lobby, near the entrance from the parking garage. The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported a June 18, 2026 opening, a room of about 200 seats and tickets from $49 before fees. The same report credits Steve with more than 1,000 shows and over 10,000 hypnotized volunteers across six seasons as a headliner in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
So why is it my pick? Three reasons.
- The pace never drops. A lot of hypnosis shows sag in the middle while the hypnotist resets the stage. Steve keeps the laughs coming from the first volunteer to the last, and the room never has time to check their phones.
- The volunteers are the stars. His site describes the show as part stand-up, part improv, part hypnosis. That’s exactly right. He sets the scene and then gets out of the way, so the biggest laughs come from real people reacting in ways nobody could script.
- No two nights are alike. Because the comedy comes from whoever walks up on stage, you could see it twice in one week and get two completely different shows. That’s the mark of a hypnotist who trusts his skills rather than a script.
One honest note: this is an adult show. The Review-Journal pitched it at bachelor and bachelorette parties, birthdays, convention groups and date nights, and that’s the right crowd. If you’re bringing teenagers, pick an all-ages show instead. If it’s a group of grown-ups who want to laugh until it hurts, book Steve.
Get tickets and showtimes on Steve Falcon’s official website. MGM Rewards members can save $15 on select tickets, according to his site, so have your rewards number ready before you check out.
The Mentalist and Paranormal
Both show up in the “hypnosis” category, but they’re mind reading shows. Nobody goes into a trance. Paranormal has a 4.9 rating from 1,670 Vegas.com reviews and plays at 4:00 p.m., which makes it the easiest one to fit around dinner.
What about Hyprov?
Hyprov pairs hypnotist Asad Mecci with improv legend Colin Mochrie. It opened a residency at Harrah’s in June 2023, according to Wikipedia. It isn’t in Vegas.com’s current listings, and the show now tours theaters, so check hyprov.com for a Vegas date before you plan around it.
Which Las Vegas hypnosis show is best for you?
Pick by your group, not by star rating.
- Families with teens: Marc Savard seats all ages, and Paranormal is an afternoon show.
- Adults-only groups: Steve Falcon’s Comedy Hypnosis Hour is my top pick. Kevin Lepine’s upbeat Hypnosis Unleashed downtown is my other strong recommendation.
- Staying at the south end of the Strip: Marc Savard and Steve Falcon are close to each other near MGM Grand.
- Skeptics who want to watch, not take part: The Mentalist or Paranormal.
- On a budget: watch for flash sales. Vegas.com showed discounts of 30% to 62% on three of the five shows the day I checked.
What makes a great hypnosis show? What I look for as a hypnotist
Star ratings tell you whether people had fun. They don’t tell you why. After a career on stages, cruise ships and college campuses, here’s what I watch for when I sit in someone else’s audience. Use it to judge any show you see.
- A quick, confident start. The first ten minutes are the induction, where the hypnotist finds the best responders. A great hypnotist makes this part entertaining too. A weak one makes the audience sit through a long, flat relaxation script.
- Kindness toward volunteers. The best shows laugh with the people on stage, never at them. When volunteers walk off grinning and hugging the hypnotist, you know they were treated well.
- Variety in the routines. A strong show mixes big group bits, solo spotlight moments and running gags that pay off later. If every routine looks the same, the energy fades.
- Crowd reading. A great hypnotist adjusts on the fly. A shy volunteer gets a smaller moment, a natural performer gets the spotlight. That’s a skill you can’t fake, and it’s the main reason I rate Steve’s show so highly.
- A strong finish. The last routine should be the biggest laugh of the night, followed by a clean, caring wake-up so volunteers leave feeling great.
How to plan a Las Vegas hypnosis show night
A hypnosis show fits neatly into a Vegas evening, but a little planning goes a long way. Here’s how I’d set up the night.
- Pick the show first, then dinner. For a 9:30 p.m. show like Steve Falcon’s, you have time for a relaxed dinner at MGM Grand first. For an earlier show, eat afterward.
- Leave travel time. Getting from one casino to another on the Strip takes longer than the map suggests. Big resorts are huge, and the walk from the rideshare drop-off to the theater can take 10 to 15 minutes on its own.
- Decide who wants to volunteer. Talk about it at dinner. The friend who swears they “can’t be hypnotized” is very often the one who ends up as the star.
- Keep the drinks light until after. One drink is fine. Several will get you sent back to your seat if you go up, and you’ll remember less of the fun if you stay seated.
- Charge your phone, but check the rules. Many shows limit filming of volunteers. Ask staff before you record, and you’ll still want battery for photos afterward.
Common mistakes when booking a Vegas hypnosis show
I hear the same stories from people who had a less than perfect night. Most of them are easy to avoid.
- Booking a mind reading show by accident. Two of the five shows in the hypnosis category hypnotize nobody. If you want to see real volunteers in trance, pick a true hypnosis show. Steve Falcon and Kevin Lepine are my two recommendations.
- Ignoring the age rules. Bringing a 15 year old to an adult late show ends badly for everyone. Check the policy on the ticket page.
- Trusting a third party showtime. Ticket resellers often show old times. Check the official site, like Steve’s at stevefalconhypnosis.com, before you plan the rest of the night.
- Sitting at the back if you want to go up. Volunteers mostly come from the first few rows. If you want a shot at the stage, get there early and sit close.
Is Las Vegas stage hypnosis real?
Yes. Stage hypnosis uses real suggestion on real audience members, and the volunteers aren’t paid actors. The American Psychological Association’s Division 30 defines hypnosis as a state of focused attention and reduced peripheral awareness with an enhanced capacity to respond to suggestion. It isn’t sleep, and it isn’t mind control. I go deeper on this in Is stage hypnosis real? The honest truth.
People differ in how easily they respond. Stanford Medicine research puts about 10% of people in the highly hypnotizable group. So a hypnotist invites more volunteers than he needs and quietly sends some back to their seats in the first few minutes. The people left on stage are the ones who respond best. That’s why it looks so dramatic from your seat.
How do you get picked to be hypnotized on stage?
Volunteer fast, and mean it. Vegas.com’s advice is to arrive early, sit near the front and tell staff you want to take part. After 6,000+ shows of my own, I’d add four things:
- Go easy on the drinks beforehand. Alcohol wrecks concentration, and most hypnotists send visibly drunk volunteers straight back.
- Go up with an open mind. If you’re there to “test” the hypnotist, you’ll be back in your seat pretty quickly.
- Follow the early instructions exactly. The first five minutes decide who stays.
- Wear something you can move in. Trust me on this one.
Is it safe, and will you be embarrassed?
A professional show is safe, and you stay in control the whole time. You hear everything, you can open your eyes whenever you like, and you won’t do anything that goes against your values. Marc Savard’s site says he only hypnotizes people who volunteer and nobody is pulled from the crowd. Content still varies from show to show. If crude humor isn’t your thing, pick an all-ages show over a late one.
Tickets, timing and logistics
- Book direct or through a major seller. Cancellation terms differ. Marc Savard’s site, for example, needs 24 hours’ notice for changes.
- Arrive 20 to 30 minutes early. Several theaters assign seats at the box office on the day.
- Use the right drop-off. For the Nathan Burton Theater, the official site says to set your rideshare to FlyOver Las Vegas, 3771 Las Vegas Blvd.
- Plan dinner around the show. A 6:00 or 7:00 p.m. show means dinner after. A 9:00 p.m. show gives you time for a relaxed dinner first.
Can you hire a hypnotist for a private event in Las Vegas?
Yes. For conventions and corporate groups, hiring a hypnotist for a private event in Las Vegas usually beats buying 200 theater tickets. The show comes to your ballroom, the content matches your HR standards, and your own colleagues become the stars. Hotel ballrooms and the convention centers are well set up for a 60 to 90 minute after-dinner show.
When you compare performers, ask for an unedited recent show video, references from the last 12 months, proof of liability insurance and a written content policy. I tour to Las Vegas year-round for corporate, association and college events. My clean comedy hypnosis show runs 45 to 90 minutes with 10 to 20 volunteers, and shows start at $1,200. Check a date here.
Richard Barker’s Final Thoughts
If you only see one hypnosis show in Vegas, make it one where real people from the audience go up. Mind reading shows are great fun, but they’re a different thing entirely. Pick the show that fits your group, get there early, and if you want to be up there, put your hand up like you mean it. Worst case, you get a front row seat to watch your friend forget their own name.
